Established 1953 by James Frederick Pegler, Pegler Removals is still in the family’s hands alongside Ian Hughes, who heads up our commercial division.

Our services are tailored to the individual needs of each client, be it a domestic move either locally or to a new city within the UK, or an entire business relocation elsewhere, even within the EU. In addition to removals we can also provide packing services and storage facilities. We offer storage services to the entire London and Essex area. The Pegler fleet has grown from 1 lorry and increased over the years utilising the premier specialist removal body builders, such as van plan by the 1970’s we had 6 such vehicles. The fleet continued to grow, starting to include articulate high capacity vehicles in the 1980’s to improve efficiency and keep costs down for our customers along with a fleet of lighter vehicles for smaller moves. At this time we started our storage division, at first on a small scale growing into our current 2,000 plus specialised removal storage container facility. 

Running alongside our domestic operation we have always carried out commercial relocations, this , under the direction of Ian Hughes has grown to be one of the largest in the south east with removals and storage carried out for some of the worlds largest companies
